Allan Hollander is a geographer and informatics specialist at the Institute of the Environment at UC Davis. He has a long background in examining California's landscapes, most recently in studies of the state's urban forests and of shrubland habitats in Southern California. He also works on developing metadata standards and systems for sharing environmental information.
